What to See & Do in Orlando

Activities & Attractions
Blizzard Beach - Transport yourself to a 90-foot "snow capped" mountain located in a tropical lagoon. Slide down the mountain on waterslides. Bobsled down what appears to be a icy bobsled run.. Daily 9am-variable. $23.95. Ages 3-9 $17.95. (407)-824-4321
Universal Studios Florida - Thrill in all sorts of rides with movie and TV themes. Enjoy live shows, featuring popular themes as well. You will become drawn into each ride or show and will witness a working studio on the grounds.  (407) 363-8000
Sea World of Florida - Any creature of the sea is featured at this Florida attraction. Gasp at whales, giggle at dolphins, or gaze at sea turtles. Come learn about Manatees and other endangered species or amaze in the live animal performances. The Anheuser-Bush Clydesdales can be viewed while on the grounds. (407) 351-3600
Wet 'N Wild - Immerse yourself into the wet world of water. Plummet down water slides and flumes. Get soaked on multi-passenger , water rapid rides. Children can ride the smaller "kids" versions of the adult rides. Children can also play in the water playground.  (800) 992-9453.
Water Mania - Get slammed by fun at this huge water park . Every one can splash into the pools, soar down the rides, or surf a wave at the surfing exhibit. Drive a bumper boat or play in the arcade. Swim in a man made ocean at the wave pool. Just don't leave without getting wet.  (800) 527-3092
Orlando Science Center and John Young Planetarium - Learn about science by involving your self with various scientific exhibits. Children or adults can interact with the displays. The stars and sky are featured in the planetarium and on weekends the planetarium will host a 3d Cosmic Concert laser light show with rock music. 
Gatorland - The Alligator Capitol of the World contains thousands of alligators and crocodiles. Learn about the animals' habitat. Snakes also slither about the exhibits. Alligator delicacies are for your palate's delight. 
Reptile World Serpentarium - A leading facility for the production of snake venom. Get an educational look at a variety of snacks. 
Central Florida Zoo - Native and exotic animals, weekend animal feedings and educational elephant demonstrations.  (407) 323-4450.
Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens - Florida's largest formal rose garden and the largest camellia collections in the eastern United States. Also featured is Leu's restored home from the 1800's. 
Discovery Island - Enter into this wildlife preserve and walk along a man-made path to view many various species of plants and animals. One of the world's largest aviaries. 
Fun Spot Action Park - This 4.7 acre amusement park features a 102-foot-high Ferris wheel, two-story video arcade and four Go Kart tracks, including a three-level track. (407) 363-3867.
Jungleland Zoo - Featuring more than 400 exotic animals, gator shows, lions, monkeys, tigers, reptiles and rare birds.  (407) 396-1012.
Kennedy Space Center - 2 IMAX theaters featuring space-themed movied (1 regular, 1 3-D): 9:00 a.m. to dusk, daily (except Christmas Day): (407) 452-2121
Mystery Fun House - This fifteen-room house features fun house mirrors and spinning tunnels. Other highlights include miniature golf, laser games, an arcade and concessions. (407) 351-3356.
